Overview
Starting from Mwanza, this eight-day trip is timed to the migration season and built around getting you close to both the big cats that follow the herds and the herds themselves. Eight days gives enough time to move between different sections of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro as conditions change, rather than being locked into one fixed route.
The Mara River crossings are the highlight when timing lines up, but even outside crossing windows the sheer concentration of wildlife following the migration makes for strong game viewing throughout. Day by Day (8 days)
ARRIVE IN TANZANIA
Our safari itinerary starts in Mwanza and ends at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met and greeted by our driver-guide.
A safari briefing will be conducted at your hotel in Mwanza.
Dinner and overnight at a lodge in Mwanza.

GAME DRIVE IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
We depart for Serengeti National Park. En route, there will be opportunities to spot wildlife as we drive toward the Central Serengeti.
Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Baobab Tented Camp.
Meal plan: Bed, Lunch, Dinner, and Breakfast included.
GAME DRIVE TO NORTHERN SERENGETI (KOGATENDE)
After breakfast, we drive to the Northern Serengeti (Kogatende) with a picnic lunch. Much of the journey is a game drive, arriving at the camp in the late afternoon.

NORTHERN SERENGETI (KOGATENDE)
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Mara area, famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration. Wildlife density is exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area, with excellent chances of witnessing Mara River crossings.

GAME DRIVE IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy another full day in the Serengeti, starting early to maximize wildlife viewing. Visit the hippo pools, observe large lion prides, and experience the migration, often surrounded by vast herds of wildebeest.

SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
Enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before driving to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We proceed to the crater rim, where we spend the night.

GAME DRIVE IN NGORONGORO CRATER
Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. This unique Conservation Area is managed for both wildlife and the local Maasai people, who graze their cattle alongside wild animals.
In the afternoon, we drive to Karatu.
Dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn Lodge.

GAME DRIVE IN TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Today we visit Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds, giraffes, and rich birdlife along the Tarangire River, especially during the dry season.
In the afternoon, we drive to Arusha, where the safari concludes.
Dinner and overnight at Arusha Safari Lodge.
