Overview
Gombe Stream is Tanzania's smallest national park, and one of the only places in Africa where all game viewing is done on foot rather than by vehicle — there are simply no roads here.
The park's main draw is its highly habituated chimpanzee community, roughly 100 to 150 individuals descended from the population Jane Goodall studied here from the 1960s onward, alongside olive baboons and several monkey species including red colobus and blue monkeys.
