Overview
On this five-day safari the vehicle and guide are yours alone, so you never share a Land Cruiser with strangers or wait on anyone else's schedule. You stay in tented camps chosen for comfort and for being away from the busiest roads, which means fewer vehicles at sightings.
Five days lets you explore Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater properly rather than racing between parks, and your guide can change the pace whenever you like. Get in touch to check availability.

Day by Day (5 days)
ARUSHA TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
From your Arusha lodge you drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but remarkably varied park that is two-thirds lake, backed by the Rift Valley wall, with groundwater forest, grassland, hot springs and woodland. It has more than 350 bird species and is famous for its tree-climbing lions. Lunch is a picnic in the park.
Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge, full board.
OLDUVAI GORGE TO THE SERENGETI
You visit Olduvai Gorge, known as the Cradle of Mankind, where remains of early humans around two million years old were found. You then continue into the Serengeti, whose name means endless plains. Covering some 14,750 sq km, it is one of the oldest and richest wildlife areas on earth, and you game drive on the way to camp.
Overnight at Serengeti Acacia Tented Camp, full board.
FULL DAY IN THE SERENGETI
Another full day on the Serengeti plains, home to one of the richest mixes of wildlife on the planet. Each year millions of animals migrate between the Serengeti and Kenya's Masai Mara, and even outside the migration there are herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle, plus elephant, giraffe and buffalo, with lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and jackal on the hunt.
Overnight at Serengeti Acacia Tented Camp, full board.
NGORONGORO CRATER
You leave the Serengeti for the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world, about 600 m deep and 19 km across. Around 30,000 animals live inside, making it one of the best places to see lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Kirurumu Tented Camp, full board.
NGORONGORO TO ARUSHA
After breakfast you leave the Ngorongoro area and drive back to Arusha. If arranged in advance, we can take you straight to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
