Rwanda

Rwanda is known as one of Africa's best-organized and most beautiful countries. Its nickname, the "Land of a Thousand Hills", comes from its green, terraced slopes.

Most visitors come for Volcanoes National Park, home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Kigali, the capital, is famously clean and safe. Gorilla permits in Rwanda usually cost more than in Uganda, but the treks are often shorter.
