Gorilla Trekking

A guided trek through the forest to spend one carefully controlled hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family, in Bwindi (Uganda) or Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda). The hike can take less than an hour or most of a day, depending on which family you visit and where they have moved.

Because gorilla trekking takes place outside Tanzania, we plan it as an extension to your Tanzania trip. It needs a permit booked well ahead; permits are limited and often sell out months in advance, especially in Rwanda.
