Congo, Uganda, And Tanzania!

According to my Safari experience in Uganda, it’s a long journey to connect from Bwindi to Murchison for all mentioned activities in 5 Days but very easy to connect Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth. Queen Elizabeth still is better than Murchison. I would love it that we go with Queen Elizabeth NP.

5 DAYS DRC – CONGO  SAFARI

DAY 01:  Arrival at Kigali – Transfer to Goma Congo via Gisenyi.

Enjoy a beautiful drive through the land of a thousand hills to reach Gisenyi the largest port on Lake Kivu. After lunch clear customs at the border crossing and enter the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Accommodation: Stella Matulina Lodge or Hotel Ihusi.

DAY 02: Hike Mt. Nyiragongo

Day 03:  Hike Nyiragongo at a height of 3,470m.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibati visitors center before hiking for briefing. Hike to the active volcano Nyiragongo. The 4-5 hours hike through lush rainforest takes you to the spot where the volcano erupted in 2002. Overnight at the volcano.

Accommodation: Tents

DAY 04: Hike back down the volcano and return to Goma/rest.

You will descend to Goma and arrive at Kibati in the morning at 11 am. Transfer to Goma for lunch and later transfer to Gisenyi. You will also visit Goma town to see the impact of the 2002 eruption that left Goma resembling a modern-day Pompeii with cars and houses trapped in the lava flow. Overnight is foreseen at Lake Kivu Serena.

Accommodation: Serena Lake Kivu.

DAY 05: Virunga National park

From lake Kivu, we drive to Virunga National park arriving in the afternoon We will leave the Kive at the late morning drive to Virunga National park

Full day Gorilla tracking in Virunga National park then go to your hotel at Bukima Tented Camp

5 DAYS UGANDA SAFARI

DAY 06: Visiting Buhoma

Arrival at Kisoro and drive to Buhoma spending a night at Buhoma

DAY 07:  Visiting Ishasha  Gorilla trekking

Gorilla trekking and then in the evening after gorilla trekking you will drive to Ishasha and check-in for dinner and overnight at the river

 DAY 08:  Visiting Queen Elizabeth

Drive to Queen Elizabeth for a morning game drive and then in the evening jump on to the boat for the boat cruise at Kazinga channel.

DAY  01:  Day visit Materuni waterfalls

Arrive in Moshi from Uganda walk to Materuni waterfall, visit the village and return to Keys Hotel, get briefed by your Kili guide, and rest for your next day hike!

DAY 11: Hiking Kilimanjaro

Drive to Umbwe Gate, Hike to Umbwe Cave Camp- Umbwe Cave camp (2850m) -Barranco camp (3985m)Hiking time: 6 hours/

Distance: Approximately 6.3 km Habitat: Moorland

DAY 12: Hiking Kilimanjaro  Umbwe Cave Camp to Barranco Camp

DAY 13: Hike Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Distance: Approximately 6 km/Habitat: Moorland / Semi desert

DAY 14: Hike Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Karanga camp (4040m) – Barafu camp (4681m)/Hiking time: 4 hours

Distance: Approximately 3.4km/Habitat:Alpine desert

DAY 15: Hike Barafu Camp to Summit, full-moon

Barafu camp (4681m)-Uhuru Peak (5895m)-Mweka (3090m)

Hiking time: 7 to 8 hours to reach Uhuru Peak, 6 to 8 hours to descend to Mweka Camp /Distance: Approximately 4.5 km ascent and 10.8 km descent

Habitat: Stone scree and ice-capped summit

DAY 16: Hike Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, drive to Moshi

Mweka camp (3090m) – Mweka Gate (1641m)/Hiking time: 4 to 6 hours

Habitat: Forest/ Distance: Approximately 8.5 km

CULTURAL TOUR IN ARUSHA – TANZANIA

DAY 17:  Arusha for Cultural tour

We leave Moshi to Arusha for a Cultural tour. This day We depart to villages of Ng’iresia and Olgilai have the following to offer:

– A guided tour to farms on the lush slopes of Mt. Meru

– A visit to several development projects in the village-soil conservation, irrigation, crossbreeding, bio-gas

– A climb to Kivesi Hill, an old volcano with a natural forest on the top

– A glimpse of the Wa-arusha culture

– A walk to Songoto and Navuru waterfalls

DAY 18:  Charity day at Ujamaa foundation in Arusha

From your hotel (OUTPOST) at midday It _will_ take 10 minutes to drive from Arush city center… _We_ can also organize city _tour _around_Arusha_ for _charity_, shopping, etc.

Day 19:  Visiting Olduvai Gorge To Serengeti National Park

OLDUVAI GORGE TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

We proceed to OLDUVAI GORGE, known as the ‘Cradle of Mankind’. It was here, in the Great Rift Valley, that the remains of early hominids dating back 2 million years were uncovered. Afterward, we visit the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK. Yet for its sprawling area, the Serengeti does not disappoint when it comes to rich game-viewing. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth.

DAY 20:  Visiting Serengeti National Park

ANOTHER FULL DAY GAME DRIVES IN THE SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

We embark on an encore game drive in the expansive SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK. The Serengeti boasts one of the most varied collections of wildlife on the planet. Annually, from May to December, millions of animals embark on a migration that brings them from central Serengeti to Kenya’s Masai Mara and back again in an incredible spectacle. Even during the ‘down-time’, vast herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle roam here, along with groups of elephant, giraffe, and buffalo, as the lions, leopard, cheetah, hyenas, and jackals stalk their meals. We return to the tented camp.

DAY 21: Full Day Migration Safari

ANOTHER FULL DAY MIGRATION SAFARI GAME DRIVE

This will be special day for the wildebeest migration experience in the Serengeti Plain south parts see migration, calving, and hopefully predators in action. We continue with our game drive in Ndutu area,take our bush lunch and night game drive before going to rest at our lodge

DAY 22:  Drive to Ngorongoro for a walking safari with Masai.

These itineraries start high on the cool forested Ngorongoro Crater rim and finish in the dry heat of Lake Natron. We drive to the Ngorongoro Crater rim at Rhino Lodge where we overnight before driving across the crater, with time for game viewing, to reach Nainokanoka, a tiny Maasai village lying just below Olmoti Crater in the heart of the Crater Highlands.

DAY 23:  Ngorongoro crater game drive and rest at Rhino lodge

After breakfast, we descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, it supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.

DAY 24:  Visit the bushmen-go hunting and experience the lake Eyasi

The Hadzabe are one of the few true hunter-gatherer tribes left in the world. They live in simple temporary shelters and live by hunting by bow and arrow, using poisoned arrow-tips for large game. They hunt for anything from mice to giraffes, with baboon being their preferred game. If they are successful in killing large game such as giraffes,

DAY 27:  FULL DAY -STONE TOWN PLUS SHOPPING THEN SPICE FARMS

After Breakfast pick up around 09:00 for Sandbank pick-nice, you will be sailed away off Serena Inn to the Sandbank with our Expert Traditional Dhow crew and Back to your Hotel Around 15:30

DAY 28:  Zanzibar beach and dolphin swim

This is a full-day excursion, the main attraction of the Dolphin Tour. Zanzibar being able to swim close to the dolphins, actually it’s swimming with the dolphins. Being very social themselves you can even get to play with them. Kizimkazi fishing village is home to several schools of Bottle-nosed dolphins and Humpback dolphins, which are sighted following a short boat trip from the village. The dolphins are very friendly and playful. The best part is getting into the water and play with them.

DAY 29:  Zanzibar blue safari and spice tour

In the morning you will be picked up from Beach Resort for the full day. Jozani Forest+ Kizimkazi Dolphins tour, Lunch at Kizimkazi Restaurant. After lunch, our professional guide will take you to explore the natureat Jozani forest.
