The Great Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration is a Natural phenomenon that occurs year after year mostly in the months of July and August. The numbers alone are hard to believe: up to two million animals – wildebeest, as well as zebra and gazelles, gather on the plains in search of new grass, water and to birth their young ones.
The best wildlife viewing months in Kenya are during the Dry season from late June to October. The wildebeest migration usually reaches the Masai Mara in July and remains until October when they move back to the Serengeti in Tanzania. Wildlife viewing is good year-round, but this can differ for some parks.
