Pack Light in a Soft Bag

Small planes between parks have strict luggage limits on weight and shape. Soft duffel bags are standard; hard suitcases are usually not accepted. Neutral clothes in khaki, olive or brown work better than bright colors or white, which shows dust.

Expect Early Mornings

Most game drives start at or before sunrise, when animals are active and the light is best. Be ready for early alarms on most days.

Bring the Right Gear

Binoculars matter more than first-timers think. One pair shared between two people isn't enough when a leopard is 200 meters away. Beyond that, a camera or phone, sunscreen, a hat and your medicines are the essentials.
