The perfect balance of attractions and time, the four-day Tanzania Express is the best itinerary for seeing as much as humanly possible when you’re on a tight time budget.

You’ll hit three of the northern circuit’s major parks: Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and your choice of either Tarangire or Lake Manyara National Park for four days of incomparable game driving that will show you the best that Africa has to offer.

In addition to chasing the Big Five and seeing some stunning landscapes, you’ll also have the option to embark on a cultural safari by adding on visits to a Maasai boma and/or the historic Oldupai Gorge Museum.

Details of Four Day Tanzania Express Safari

 

DAY ONE – ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK OR TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Day 1: Moshi-Tarangire National Park
Non game-viewing travel time: 3-4½ hours
Distance: 200 km

After breakfast in Moshi, drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive in the Park. See buffalo, giraffe, zebra and many more species, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Great Rift Wall. Dinner and overnight at Eileens Tree lodge with swimming pool.

DAY TWO – LAKE MANYARA/TARANGIRE – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Day 2: Serengeti National Park
Non game-viewing travel time: 4 hours
Distance: 205 km
After breakfast, set out for the endless open plains driving about 4 to the stunning skies of the Serengeti. A scenic four-hour drive, full day game drive together with late evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Kubukubu Tented lodge.

DAY THREE – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Another full day safari with late evening game drive tracking the wildebeest migration. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Kubukubu Tented lodge.

DAY FOUR – Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro crater – Fly home

Non game-viewing travel time: 4 hours
Distance: 145 km
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro where you will descend to the Crater and see the great number of animals living in the crater, including rhinos. After our safari we will transfer you to Airport to connect your flight home
