This day we take our night at Keys Hotel or any relative hotel in Moshi (http://abakombetours.com/keys-hotel-moshi/)

Day 2/Aug 2: Lake Manyara National Park or Tarangire

Today we drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives. This is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks but still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience. The lakeshore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. There are a surprising number of other large mammals and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment form a dramatic backdrop. Late afternoon we make a short journey from the park to our Luxury lodge at Karatu.

Dinner and overnight at Gibbs Farm: Full board.

Day 3/Aug 3: Serengeti National Park

We head towards the Serengeti National Park. En route Ngorongoro CA. there is an opportunity to visit Olduvai Gorge (optionally).

It is within this steep sided ravine that Louis and Mary Leakey made some of the world’s most important archaeological discoveries in the 1950s.

Here in a small museum we are able to see evidence of our ancestors that have been dated back 2.5 million years. After lunch we drive into the Serengeti itself and the rest of the afternoon is spent game viewing in the vast plains that are broken only by stands of acacia trees and the occasional kopje. In December, January and February we will normally meet the migration with large herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle. There are always plenty of resident animals, such as giraffe, buffalo, and elephant, and many large predators such as lion, cheetah, and leopard.

Dinner and overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp: Fall board.

Day 4/Aug: Serengeti Hot Air Balloon Safari

Serengeti Balloon Safari is probably the most beautiful balloon flight in Africa and the ultimate Safari Experience which makes you enjoy the most beautiful migration of wildebeests through the endless plain of Serengeti.

5:00 am, Serengeti Balloon Safaris will collect you from your central Serengeti lodge or camp, and transfer you by Land rover to our launch site near Masai Kopjes. Here you will meet your pilot, receive a briefing and watch the inflation of your balloon.

At dawn we take off, rising as the sun rises and float in whichever direction the winds of the morning take us.

Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon: sometimes flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities of the wildlife below. After breakfast, you are taken to the rendezvous point to meet with your driver guide and continue with your full day game drives.

Dinner and overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp: Fall board.

Day 5/Aug 5: Serengeti National Park Full day wildebeest migration safari The whole day is devoted to you to observe the wildlife in the Serengeti National Park. The areas that you will visit depend upon the location of the herds. Generally the herds of wildebeest and zebras during the short rain season of July and Aug tend to be found northwards during July and August, often spreading out across a broad front: some heading through Grumeti Reserve and Ikorongo, others north through the heart of the Serengeti National Park. However your guide will know the exact location of the animals and the best vantage spots.
A visit to the Visit Centre , is also possible (booking in advance), where you can learn about Serengeti’s history and current research of Frankfurter Zoologische Gesellschaft (Frankfurt zoological society in Tanzania).
You will overnight again at Kati Kati Tented Camp . Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 6/Aug 6: Serengeti Half day safari and rest at camp/lodge

We start the day with an early morning game drive before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is a special place in that it is a Conservation Area, not a National Park; this means that the whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Masai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. During the drive in Ngorongoro we have a chance to glimpse something of the Masai way of life.

After stopping at the entrance gate, where there is a chance to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape, we will drive around the rim of the Crater itself, and from here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest and buffaloes.

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wild Tented Camp: Fall board.

Day 7/Aug 7: Ngorongoro Highland Masai cultural tourSpend your day in the authentic Maasai-Village „Olpopongi“ and learn more about the wisdoms and habits of the Maasai tribe. Well educated Maasai guides will escort you through the unique Maasai-Museum and across the nearby Maasai-Steppe; your personal Maasai guide is explaining the life, past- and today’s life of the Tanzania Maasai. Get more information about the culinary culture of the Maasai while tasting a traditional tea (chai) prepared for a walking safari getting close to wildlife on your foot.
A tasty lunch with a variety of local food highlights will end the activities inside the village.

Day 8/Aug 8: Ngorongoro Crater full game tour

The Ngorongoro Crater provides great game-viewing all year-round. The wildlife here makes up a permanent population because grazing and water supplies are plentiful throughout the seasons.

Finally we descend into the crater. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino and leopard (if you are lucky).

The only animal you won’t see in here is a giraffe, whose long legs are unable to cope with the steeps sides of the crater. Late afternoon we travel just outside of Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Arusha.

Dinner and overnight at The African Tulip: Half board.
