19 Days full Tanzania combined Safari. This 19 days (18 nights) Kenya and Tanzania safari will begin and end in Nairobi. It will take you to so many interesting places like Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Lake Eyasi, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Lake Baringo, Lake Bogoria and Samburu, Amboseli National Park. This wildlife safari will be very exciting.
You will spend 1 nights at Sarova lion Hill lodge, 1 night at Naivasha Sopa Lodge, 1 night at tree Hotel, 1 night at Sweetwater tented camp, 2 nights at Samburu Serena lodge, 2 nights at Mara Serena lodge, 3 nights at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, 2 nights at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, I night at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, I night at Kikoki Safari camp and I night at Moivoro Coffee Plantation lodge.19 days Kenya and Tanzania Itinerary.
Day 1.Nairobi- Lake Naivasha
On this day, you will arrive in Nairobi and depart for Naivasha immediately. By the time you reach Naivasha, you will be hungry and so you will just have lunch. After lunch, you will transfer to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride and a walking safari at Crescent Island, one of the few places in the world where one can walk amidst wild animals. On this day, you will have another boat ride in the after and you might see another group of wild animals. Later in the night, you will have dinner and overnight at Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru
You are expected to wake up very early in the morning for your breakfast. After your breakfast, you will transfer to Naivasha in order to head to Nakuru. The reason for this is to arrive at Sarova Lion Hill in time for lunch. Saroma Lion Hill is situated in Lake Nakuru National Park, which is enriched with a fantastic array of bird life. Lake Nakuru is known for the large concentration of flamingoes which reside along the Lake shore hence giving it a hue. When you get to the Park, you will find other animals like the rare Rothschild giraffe, the waterbucks, the Burchell’s zebras, just to mention but a few.
Within this Park, there is the Malaika falls which is also another attraction that will make your stay enjoyable. Later in the afternoon, you will have a game drive until evening when you will transfer to Sarova Lion Hill Lodge for your dinner and overnight
Day 3: Mount Kenya
You will have your morning breakfast and later transfer to the lower slopes of Mountain Kenya with game drive enroute with a stop over at Nyahururu Thomson Falls which is the longest fall in Kenya. You will arrive at Serena Mountain Lodge in time for a late lunch. Yes you will have lunch of course and rest there. This Serena Mount Lodge is located on the slopes of Mount Kenya surrounded by the dense rain forest that comes alive at dusk with a myriad of sounds that makes the African bush so special and exhilarating. Considered the most spectacular forest water hole in the Aberdares, the lodge’s waterhole presents a constant ballet of wildlife.
This lodge also has 42 attractive bedrooms furnished with indigenous wood and African art which will make your stay much more comfortable. You will sleep earlier enough such that that you are able to get up early for the Sweet waters therefore you will have your dinner and overnight at the tree hotel.
Day 4: Sweet waters Game Reserve
It is very interesting to visit Sweet waters game drive. So after your morning breakfast, you will depart to Mountain Lodge and drive a little further north across the equator to Sweet waters Game Reserve. When you reach the place, you will head to sweet waters tented camp where you will have your lunch from. After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive in the private sanctuary. This very special 23,000 acre wildlife sanctuary was originally established to protect and breed highly-endangered Black Rhinos. In 1994 the Jane Goodall Institute established the Sweet waters Chimpanzee Sanctuary which is a home of 26 orphaned chimpanzees the only one of its kind in Kenya. You will also visit Morani the tame rhino and the Visitors Information Centre. In the evening, you will transfer back to Sweet waters Tented Camp for your dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Samburu National Park.
Because you will have to transfer to Samburu reserve, you will wake up a bit early in the morning for your breakfast such that you depart from Sweetwater’s and transfer to Samburu. You will drive heading in the north to the dusty outpost known as Isiolo. The distance is not so long so you will be able to arrive in time for lunch. Immediately when you reach, you will have lunch and then proceed for an afternoon game drive in the Samburu National Park. Later in the evening, you will have your dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena lodge.
Day 6: Samburu National Park
You will spend the whole day game viewing in the park famous as the place for the Samburu Semi-nomadic tribesmen, Samburu National Park is a wild life haven to the reticulated giraffe, the Gravy’s zebra gerenuk, beisa, Oryx and a host of the big game including elephant and lion. You will also enjoy looking at Africa’s big cats like the lions, cheetahs, leopards and some others. This Kenya Park also consists of some rare animals some of which include; Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, kudu and gerenuk. The Ewaso Nyiro River, the boundary with the neighboring Buffalo Springs National Reserve, is where the elephants, buffalo and other animal species gather for a drink. You will find the scenic semiarid landscape quite dramatic. The reserve is located within the lands of the colorful semi-nomadic Samburu tribesmen. Later in the evening, you will go back to Samburu Serena lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Fly to Masai Mara
You will wake up in the morning for your breakfast and after transfer to the airstrip for a flight to Masai Mara. You will depart in the morning such that you get to Mara in time. When you arrive at Mara, you will be picked by our safari guide or driver who will transfer you to Masai Mara where you will spend you night from. You will check in at a late lunch time hour and begin enjoying the lodge facilities. You will as well have your late lunch and then go for a game drive. Later in the evening, you will come back to Mara Serena lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 8 and 9; Game Drives at Masai Mara
You will have your morning breakfast as usual and then enjoy the game drives for the whole day. The reason for considering two days at Masai Mara is that it is a place which is very interesting and enjoyable. A place that many people go to and promise to go back for as many times as possible.
The Mara reserve is 1510 sq km of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers. There is a lot of good looking wildlife in Masai Mara. You will see Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, and wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos also exist in great numbers. In A few cases, you can as well see lions basking after a heavy meal or some times checking plains for their next meal. You will have your dinner and overnight at Mara Serena lodge.
Day 10: Transfer to Nairobi-Amboseli
You will have your morning breakfast and then transfer to the airstrip to fly back to Nairobi. You will depart in the morning such that you arrive at Wilson Airport in time for lunch. You will not engage in any thing else before having your lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Amboseli National Park with game drive enroute to arrive in Amboseli Serena lodge. Because time will not support you to view game clearly, you will just be briefed on what Amboseli National Park is. Amboseli National Park is a landscape dominated everywhere by the glistening, majestic snowcap of the mighty Mt Kilimanjaro. Some People prefer calling it “the rooftop of Africa”. You will also get to know that some pastoral Masai stay around the region with their cattle and have stayed in harmony for many years. Later in the night, you will dinner and over night at Amboseli Serena lodge.
Day 11: Amboseli National Park.
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and then go for a game drive that will enrich your minds with clear views of the mighty Mt Kilimanjaro with its snowcapped summit appearing pink in the rising sun. This National Park is also known for having so many elephants. There is also some other game like the zebras, wildebeests and buffaloes are in plenty. The snows of Kilimanjaro, white and crystalline, form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya’s most spectacular displays of wildlife, creating Kenya’s most sought after photographer’s paradise. Afternoon game viewing drive in the Park followed by dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 12: Arusha
After having your morning breakfast, you will depart to Amboseli National Park driving towards Namanga at the boarder of Kenya and Tanzania. When you reach here, you are supposed to change the driver and the vehicle before you are allowed to go any further. So when you get to Arusha, you will spend the rest of the day having your personal fun by relaxing and enjoying the atmospheres of Arusha as well as having lunch. Later in the night, you will have dinner and overnight at Moivaro Coffee plantation lodge.
Day 13: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
You will enjoy your self at Tarangire National Park after breakfast. You will begin with a morning game drive which will provide you with spectacular views of different animals like the Blue monkeys, hornbills, pelicans, herons, elephants in very large herds grazing, jackals, cheaters, fish eagles, hippos, mara-boustorks and so many more. You will rest for a while having your packed lunch and then go back for the second afternoon game drive. Later in the evening, you will transfer back to Kikoki Safari Camp.
Day 14: Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara National Park
After your morning breakfast, you will transfer from Tarangire National Park to Lake Manyara National Park. Because you will reach at around 1; 00pm, you will just have lunch at Kirurumu Tented lodge. Just immediately after your refreshment, you will have a game drive in the Park which offers a variety of incredible bird life and of course life changing views. You will not only see a few birds but also tree climbing lions, baboons and others. You are going to like each moment you spend in Lake Manyara National Park simply because each time you will spend will be an addition to your fun. Otherwise in the evening you will see large families of primates getting to rest. You will then have dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.
Day 15: Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park
You are expected to have your usual morning breakfast with packed lunch because you will have your lunch en-route. After that, you will transfer to Serengeti National Park but you will first visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered. En-route, you can see some of the animals roaming around and others resting in tree shades. In this Park, the wildebeest and the zebras are the most common animals; you can not spend a minute without spotting at least one. Most of the cat family can be seen in the plains while the elephants are a bit scarce. There are other animals (endangered black rhinos which are restricted at the Moru Koppies area. All these animals you will see on your next day after arrival. So you will arrive and have a late lunch and after you will proceed for a game drive, dinner and overnight at Serengeti Lodge.
Day16: Serengeti National Park
This day is very interesting because you learn a lot. So after your morning breakfast, you will do the game driving activity in the Serengeti for the whole morning and this will indeed be memorable. Still in the afternoon, you will go back for the game drive and you will as well enjoy it for the second time. Because of too much fun, you will again excite your self with lunch, refreshments and a relaxation at the lodge or camp site. At Serengeti National Park, you will be in position to view all the big five and other animals like the zebras, gazelle, antelopes, wildebeest and some others. You will later get to know that some animals like wildebeest and zebras do migrate in June and July. This Serengeti National park also has a few carnivores like the lions, leopards, hyenas and cheaters. This day will indeed be exciting, so you will have your dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 17: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
After you early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Ngorongoro. You will reach in the afternoon so you will have lunch at Noitoktok. After your lunch, you will visit the crater and you will be in position to see some of the animals like lions, elephants ,zebras, a small number of flamingoes, wildebeest, spotted hyena, grant’s, Thompson’s gazelle, cheaters. You might not be able to see all the interesting things around the crater because of time but will go back there on the next day. So after glancing at the animals, you will e driven back to the camp on the crater rim for your dinner and overnight.
Day 18: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
On this day, you will head to Ngorongoro for a full day crater tour. Remember that you are spending the whole day there so you are advised to carry picnic lunch with you. This Ngorongoro crater is 670 meters deep and surrounded with several animals some of which include the lions, elephants ,zebras, a small number of flamingoes, wildebeest, spotted hyena, grant’s, Thompson’s gazelle, cheaters and so many more. Because you will be tired, you will first rest for a while with lunch at Noitoktok springs picnic site. After your late lunch, you will some time to watch some birds until you are transferred back to Ngorongoro Serena Safari lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 19: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Arusha – Namanga Border
Depart after breakfast and drive back to Arusha. When you reach Arusha, you will have lunch at the Cultural Heritage there after proceed to the Namanga border. You will cross it and then arrive at the Air port for your departure flight back home.
